Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th December 1991. James is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. Her mother is caucasian while his father was Nigerian. In 2010, James completed his studies at Sanderson High School. Then James attended Wake Forest University in order to complete a Bachelor's Degree in Science in Economics. James was initially known for his part as the reality show's Bachelorette's star. James was picked in the year 2020 to be the next bachelor on The Bachelor season 25, being the show's debut African American male star. The season premiered later that year. James is a perfect fit for the part because his attractive, well-rounded, an impressive height. The season ended when he chose Rachael Krkconnell as his choice to begin an intimate relationship with her. James was paired with dancer Arnold who was popular during the time, to take part in the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold placed 12th in the competition.
